Hello, Outsiders!

First of all, we’re very sorry for the delay in making this post. One of the things we’ve been trying to iron out on the mod end is how to cover the things that need to be done when not everyone is available. We apologize for the increased wait times on requests and applications! As a rule of thumb, if you’ve put in a request or application and haven’t heard back from us after a week, just leave us a note on the contact page. Sometimes we genuinely miss things or think they’ve been done when they haven’t!

MOD APPS

We’re looking for plot/npc mods to join the team. We don’t have enough people right now to manage these things and run the rest of the game, so we’d like to add 1 or 2 more people to the modteam. Duties would include playing various NPCs in game, brainstorming, and running modplots. If you’re interested, please send a PM to the mod journal with the kinds of things you’d be interested in doing and we’ll get back to you!

EVENT RESULTS

As you may recall, at the end of the adjutant event, we left the choice of what to do with the Cerberus scientists up to the characters in this log. Some of the scientists were killed, but for the most part, they were turned over to Aria for her to pass judgment. What became of the survivors hasn’t reached the extranet, but given how she’d taken to Cerberus’s invasion, it should come as no surprise that they hadn’t been spared her wrath.

Curiously, though, if anyone were to return to the warehouse the Cerberus agents were holed up in, they’d find that it’s collapsed and is now little more than a pile of rubble. As of yet, no group has claimed the action.

But the mercs have taken notice of the outsiders. Talon Company has opened its ranks to anyone willing and able to help secure Omega. In turn -- largely to keep the balance of power intact -- the other merc groups have opened their ranks.

Seems like you’ve made an impression.

JOINING THE MERCS

You can now have your character join any one of the four merc groups on the station, all of which are detailed on our factions page. You don’t have to have participated in the adjutant event to join -- all interested characters will have to prove themselves to the mercs before they formally join. (Hint: this will be part of an upcoming event!)

QUESTIONS
okay, so what do i do if i want to join the mercs?
Two things!
1. Comment on this post under the merc group your character is interested in joining. This is required! We need a headcount of how many characters are interested in each group so we can plot around it.
2. Submit a job request with the kinds of activities you’re interested in having your character do. All mercs will start at level 1. (This is also required!)

wait, but i don’t want to join the mercs.
You don’t have to! This is entirely optional.

but you said there was going to be an event!
Your character does not have to be in a merc group to participate in gamewide events. While we will have plots for specific merc groups, gamewide events are for everyone in the game.

In addition, you never have to be part of any group to get involved in a plot. If you’ve got an idea, all you have to do is hit up the plot request page and let us know what you have in mind. We’re just here to keep things organized.
